My father was martin H and violet. Her last name was Hemenway. Her mother was and orphan and there was no name. Leslie Martin Davis, Bro. Sis. Rose Lortta Sis then I, Alice Vivian Mary,Norman Luther,David Horton (Deas)Elsie Joyce (deas) Eva May and Lawence (Larry) Melvin. Than my Dads Brother was Albert William (Mike) Davis His wife was Susan a sister to my mother.
Most of the Wetmore move from here to Bellingham ,Wash. Grandpa Wetmore died there and buried in a Pupperts grave and he owns the cementary lot here in Linwood. They had a Saw mill or wood shop in Bellingham ,Wash.
I do have photo of the Wetmore family and some info but never got it organized. I should be around here tell Dec and Wife & I be going west for the winter. Horatio

Rose Loretta Chittle, 85, died December 20, 2013 at her daughter's home in Tallahassee, FL. Rose was born Feb. 7, 1928, to Martin and Violet Davis in AuGres, MI. She was the second eldest of nine. She was married to Rex L. Chittle for 44 years and had two children. She worked at Jims Lunch, Purple Cow in Hotel Durant in Flint, upon moving to Mt. Morris she worked at K-Mart in Beecher for 15 years. She is survived by her daughter, Bertha (John) Martin; grandchildren, John (Krista) Martin and Diane Martin all of Tallahassee, FL; brothers, Horatio (Elaine) Davis, Larry (Sue) Davis all of AuGres, Norman Davis of Prescott, John Graningar of Tawas, Bob (Jessie) Chittle of Gran Blanc; sisters, Alice Mixer of Oscoda, Eva Derocher of AuGres, Mildred Davis of Standish; two aunts, many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her son, John; brothers Leslie Davis, David Davis, Al Mixer, Thomas and Jimmy Chittle; and sisters, Elsie Graningar, Toshie Davis and Vivian Davis. Cremation has taken place and Rose will be laid to rest in AuGres, MI. Memorial and celebrations of life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to Alzheimer's Project of Tallahassee, 301 E. Tharpe St., Tallahassee, FL., 32303

My 3rd Great-Grandaunt, Elizabeth Zimmerman, d/o Jacob n Rebecca (Powell) Zimmerman
married Chauncey Doe in 1867.
Before marriage, Chauncey was in the Civil War.
He was captured at the Battle of Winchester, and put into a Rebel prison for eleven months.
I found a book about his outfit, the 123rd OVI at the library in Indiana
and photo copied 20 pages containing "Prison life from the diary of a captain in the 123rd Ohio volunteers"
I spent several hours transcribing these pages so to put them into my database for Chauncey Doe.
Chauncey was not an officer, just a private, enlisted man... but this diary mentions the enlisted men.
It also shows that the officers received "better" treatment than the enlisted men, but even that treatment was horrible. It was written in 1874
