Note:
Isham grew up in Wilson County, TN. His interest was Business. Isham was trained by
Leopold Drifoos of Switzerland to be a Merchant in 1860. Isham married Elizabeth Penny Scruggs. Elizabeth was a descendent of Gentleman Richard Scruggs who received
a Crown Grant for Thousands of Acres in Virginia. Richard was Classified as a Pilgrim
who came to America in1655.
Isham Enlisted in 4th TN.(Smith's) Cavalry in 1862.
Isham fought in the Battle of Murfreesboro on December 31,1862. Isham
was Honorably Discharged due to poor Health in1863, due to harsh Winter
conditions in 1863.
Isham assisted General John Y. Blythe of the Militia in getting Supplies for the Army from 1864 until
his capture in 1865. Isham put in Prison at Gallatin,TN. until End of the War.
